 The 4 3/4″ teardrop cheek is unique in the fact that for a short shank, it has quite a bit of weight so the horse carries it well and provides good balance. The teardrop shape is designed to provide slight rein slide which provides the horse with a pre-signal before engaging the mouthpiece.
