The Daiwa BG Saltwater Spinning Rod & Reel Combo is the ultimate rod & reel combination for serious saltwater fisherman. The 1002MH rod is a 10 ft. rod constructed with a graphite composite blank, lightweight and excellent performance out on the water. The 1002MH model provides Medium Heavy power, comes with EVA foam hand grips and is equipped with aluminum oxide rod guides.

The BG5000 reel feature an anodized aluminum housing and Daiwa’s Digigear technology, utilizing gears 20% – 40% larger than most of the competition. The gears in the BG series reels also feature a larger tooth pattern, giving the BG reels a much longer life span and durability than competitive reels. The BG series reels feature an Air Rotor system for ultimate rotational balance, Daiwa’s ATD Tournament drag system for a much smoother drag, and Twist Buster technology, designed to reduce line twist and friction between the line and the roller.
